The Christmas song that taught me humility

Lyrics: Mary, did you know?

that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?

Did you know
that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?

Mary, did you know
that your baby boy will calm the storm with His hand?

Did you know
that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kiss the face of God?

Mary did you know.. Mary did you know

The blind will see.
The deaf will hear.
The dead will live again.
The lame will leap.
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day rule the nations?

Did you know
that your Baby Boy is heaven’s perfect Lamb?
The sleeping Child you’re holding is the Great, I Am.

This Christmas song humbles me. How great would it be if we knew our fate will bring great tidings!

Oh how I wish we had the ability to see the future and be content IN present times.

If I knew that today’s tears would be tomorrow’s great lesson?

That today’s heartache will help another friend months from now.

If I would know that the kindness and smile I gave to a stranger warmed their heart.

That a random placement of a hand on a friend’s shoulder was all the calmness she needed.

A late night call to a family member was all the assurance they needed to know that I am okey despite being so far from home.

Lesson that this song teaches is that it does not matter that we can not see the future but it is important to sow good seeds today that will bear good fruit in future.

It might be a financial investment; change of a job; create saving habits; start planning because one day someone will ask Fiona did you know that your blog would be this big? Huge smile because that is my dream for my blog to attract a huge readership of positive building people:)

Budget tip: Staying in and listening to music is close to medicine and therapy one can get.

Create a cozy place in your home where you can unwind and meditate on the sorrows and joys that life has to offer.

Declutter and see what is not needed.

Do you have any stories where you had no idea that what you had created would ever soar beyond your wildest dreams?
